There is no question that yesterday was a success for our students. Thank you [Higher Heights Youth Empowerment Program] for your vision and insight and patience in helping some of our student leaders begin to find their way as a cornerstone in our collaboration. I look forward to continuing this program in the coming years.

BECOME A PARTNER PROGRAM

Our work would not be possible without partner communities and school districts. To place advisers in America’s high-need high schools, we partner with school districts who will welcome and support the work of college advisors who will co-invest with us to increase the number of minority, low-income and first-generational students become exposed to a post-secondary education.

We look for several attributes in our partners: a commitment to college access from district and school leadership and a willingness to  co-invest with us to support the cost of training and placing advisers in high-need high schools.

HIGH SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP EXPECTATIONS

Higher Heights is seeking response from high school leadership (administrators and school counselors) who are committed to supporting a dedicated full-time college adviser and dramatically raising their college- going rates through a systematic team approach. Interested high schools are asked to complete this application online, provide several assurances and attach a minimum of three letters of support (described in the application linked below).

By completing the application, high schools commit to participating in the program for a minimum of three academic years (2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23) and providing the required match funding. The funding match expectation will increase over the first three years of the program.

ANNUAL MATCH REQUIREMENT

Year 1 $30,000

Year 2 $30,000

Year 3 $35,000

These funds can be provided by district and non-district sources including but not limited to: a community foundation, an intermediate school district, a United Way, a family foundation, a corporation/business, a local government, or any combination. Match funding must be secured by the high school/district. If you need assistance locating match funding or drafting a funding request, Higher Heights is willing to provide support.
